Vera Veronika Parent

Vera opened the Healing Waters clinic on Salt Spring Island in 2023. She offers acupuncture, ancillary techniques, prenatal education, as well as facial and body acusculpting.

In 1999 Vera graduated from the Integrated Midwifery Program at the University Hospital in Neukölln, Berlin. She has over two decades of experience in Midwifery. Vera’s areas of specialty are women’s health, women’s difficulties (menstruation, hormones, stress), pregnancy & pregnancy preparation, prenatal consultation, birth preparation, optimal fetal positioning, labour induction, postpartum recovery, lactation support, carrying instruction, and coaching for attachment parenting. She also teaches the philosophies of Emmi Pikler for encouraging the development of happy independent non-stressful babies.

In 2021 Vera graduated from the Pacific Rim College with the Diploma of Acupuncture and became a certified Registered Acupuncturist in October of 2022.
