Dr. Xue Jun started his studies in acupuncture in 1987. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from Acupuncture and Tuina College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 1992. Upon graduation, he worked as a resident doctor at the acupuncture ward of the First Affiliated Hospital in Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. In 1996, he pursued his M.A and Ph.D degrees in Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and specialized in the treatment of emergent cardiovascular diseases. His studies focused on both traditional Chinese and Western medicine. He was guided through the program by Professor Chen Jinghe, a well-known traditional Chinese physician who has a special allowance from the State Council. After he received his master's and doctoral degree in 2001, he contributed to the education, clinic, and research branches of the university. He became a professor in 2009 and was later promoted to Vice Director at the Acupuncture and Tuina College at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He served there until he immigrated to Canada in 2012. In 2013, he opened his own clinic in Richmond, B.C. on the second floor of YaoHan Centre – Xue Jun Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Clinic. During his spare time, he has been continuing his study in acupuncture with the well-known Chinese American acupuncturist – Dr. Liu Wei. With more than 20 years of clinical experience and his continuous study, he has cured countless patients.
