Sophie DeLuca

I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and a certified Relational Somatic Therapist through Opening to Grace. I am also a certified Reiki Practitioner with the Jikiden Reiki Institute. My practice is rooted in a holistic understanding of the mind-body connection, drawing from over ten years of diverse studies in Counselling Psychology, Biological Sciences, Holistic Herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, and mindfulness meditation. I am truly captivated by the connection between mind and body, especially how our life experiences are reflected and stored within our physical selves. My journey into Somatic Therapy began as a personal quest for health, as I navigated my own trauma, grief, health challenges, and chronic pain. Through Somatic Therapy, I discovered the transformative power of reconnecting with the body through presence and self-compassion. This work has helped me to embrace the importance of turning inward and caring for our most vulnerable and sensitive aspects of self. It is an honour to accompany my clients on their journey of self-discovery.
