Silvana Jakupovic

Dr. Silvana Jakupovic is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a Bachelor of Science (Combined Major in Science) from the University of British Columbia. Her passion for integrative medicine led her to pursue her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Boucher), where she received the Clinical Excellence Award.

Growing up, Dr. Silvana was actively involved in various sports, including rugby, basketball, and tennis. The holistic care she received during these formative years generated her interest in naturopathic medicine. She strongly advocates for an individualized approach to healthcare, understanding that each person is unique and requires tailored care. Dr. Silvana believes in the importance of treating the individual, not just the symptoms they present with, and ensuring the prevention of future disease in accordance with the naturopathic principle of “doctor as teacher.”

While Dr. Silvana has a special interest in managing musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain, she continues to hold a general practice. She aims to treat the person as a whole, addressing mental health concerns, digestive disturbances, hormone health, and more. Dr. Silvana is committed to a patient-centred practice, offering care that is individualized, evidence-based, and enriched with ongoing patient education so that her patients may take an active role in their health choices and recovery process.

Dr. Silvana currently holds certifications in pharmaceutical prescriptive authority, acupuncture, intravenous nutrient therapies, and advanced injection therapies. She maintains active memberships with the BC Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Silvana is currently in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Silvana enjoys spending time in nature, whether hiking, boating, camping, or simply exploring. This love for the outdoors complements her dedication to naturopathic medicine as she continues to seek out new learning opportunities to enhance her knowledge and skills in the field. Her commitment to personal growth and professional development ensures that she can continue to provide her patients with the highest level of care.
