Shima Hashemian

Shima Hashemian is a Medical Herbalist and the co-founder of Heartsease Herbs. She has been in private practice since graduating with highest honours from PRC’s Phytotherapy Diploma Program in 2016. Prior to this, she studied Food, Nutrition, and Health at the University of British Columbia, obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in 2011. There she specialized in Food Market Analysis, with a special interest in Food Security Issues which took her traveling and farming both at home and abroad.

Shima has been a supervisor at the PRC dispensary since 2017 during which time she has overseen thousands of herbal formulations. In addition, since January 2020, Shima has taken on a new role as a supervisor in the student training clinic.

Shima combines her knowledge of health, herbalism and nutrition with her spirituality in all her professional roles. She uses this compassionate, heart-centered, and holistic vision to guide and support her students and patients on their own unique journeys.
