Shannon Scott

Shannon began her journey into the healing arts after becoming a Massage with a focus in 2000. Over the course of her 15 year profession, she became adept at working with the structural aspects of the body, broadening her understanding of Western Medicine as well as fueling her desire to help ease her patients’ suffering and restore health on a much deeper level. Throughout that time, she was able to witness as well as experience the profound benefits of Chinese Medicine. She began practicing Qigong in 2009, which lead to her to Beijing, China where she trained in Chinese Medicine and Image Medicine (medical qigong) under a very highly regarded Chinese Medicine Doctor and Qigong Master. In 2012 she enrolled in the 5 year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC, where she graduated with honours.

Through the paradigm of Chinese Medicine the body, mind, and spirit are inextricably woven. Signs and symptoms that may have otherwise been overlooked offer important clues into the root of pathology. Shannon honours these three levels of the self, and meets each client where they are at in order to guide them on their journey to health and wellbeing. Using a vast array of treatment modalities within the framework of TCM such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, auricular acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, dietary therapy, moxibustion, electrical stimulation and medical qigong, Shannon carefully tailors treatments to each unique individual.
