Growing up, Page dabbled in different sports and activities but it wasn’t until she discovered snowboarding that a true passion for sport emerged. She started teaching snowboarding in her early 20s and it was through teaching that she discovered her interest in human movement and body mechanics. In 2011, she decided to explore this interest and enrolled in the Bachelor of Exercise and Athletic Therapy (BAET) Program at Camosun College.
During her time in the BAET program Page worked with various sports including rugby, lacrosse, tennis, golf, and soccer to name a few. But it wasn’t until she started her clinical placement at the UVIC sports injury clinic that she found where she truly wanted to be. Working in the clinic allowed her to form meaningful connections with clients—helping them understand their injuries and guiding them through recovery in a way that wasn’t possible in a field setting.
While she was studying for her Athletic Therapy board exams, one of her mentors had mentioned possibly going to school to study Acupuncture….the seed was planted. Over the next few years, acupuncture stories kept popping up, and clients she had been seeing were getting really good results with the combination of Acupuncture and Athletic Therapy. She was fascinated by this ancient form of medicine and wanted to learn more about it. In 2019, she graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Rim College with a Diploma of Acupuncture.
Page is now a Registered Acupuncturist, R.Ac, in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of British Columbia (CTCMA). As well as a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(C), in good standing with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA).
