From an early age, Nicole Brown has always had a keen interested in Eastern Philosophy. As a young child, she trained in Tae Kwon Do and receive her black belt before graduating High School in Northern BC. After a few years of post-secondary studies, Nicole found herself traveling to India and immersing herself in the study of yoga and Buddhism. She spent the majority of her time in Tiruvannamalai, a small southern town in India, home to the renown Annamalaiyar temple.
While living in Victoria, Nicole sought out acupuncture for a reoccurring shoulder injury due to her time
as a tree planter. After experiencing the benefits of acupuncture and studying more about this
practice, she applied to Pacific Rim College to become an acupuncturist.
Nicole graduated in 2014 and is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners
and Acupuncturist of British Columbia. Her mentors include Jeffrey Yuen and Anne Cecil-Sterman, both
strong practitioner in treating difficult diseases through the Divergent, Lou and sinew channels.
Keenly interested in how Classical Chinese medicine has the capacity to change the course of a disease
or an injury, Nicole employs a range of modalities to her acupuncture experience: tuina (massage), gua
sha, cupping or moxa in almost every treatment.
Nicole has a long-standing love for the outdoors and being active. As a seasoned tree planter, she is
keenly interested in muscular skeletal treatments, chronic pain, and recharging the body from times of
overuse. A strong believer in Acupuncture, Nicole makes it her goal to help each client find relief and a
better connection with their body.
