Michael Luong

Welcome, I'm Michael Luong, a registered acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, proudly serving in beautiful British Columbia. My journey in the realm of healthcare spans over two decades, and since 2006, I've been dedicated to the practice of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. My path to healing was profoundly influenced by my upbringing in Vancouver, particularly in the vibrant Chinatown community. As a child of new immigrants, I was exposed to the world of Chinese herbal medicinals and traditional healing techniques from a young age. In 2000, I ventured to Seattle for work, where I managed a pharmacy specializing in natural supplements. This experience rekindled my passion for natural medicine. By 2006, it became abundantly clear that my path and calling lay in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Over the past 18 years, I have undergone extensive training and practice with masters in the field from around the world, including China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and the United States. My approach to healing is rooted in the integration of diverse methodologies, marrying my expertise in Western medicine with a profound understanding of Eastern medicine. In September 2020, I made a heartfelt decision to return to Vancouver, a move motivated by the desire to be closer to my family.
