Maria Laslop

With almost 40 years experience as a health care professional and a broad knowledge base in both Western and Eastern medicines, Maria offers a unique approach toward health and healing for her patients. Maria believes that making healthy diet/lifestyle choices and engaging in healthy self-care practices are essential to achieve lasting vitality. She is passionate about educating and empowering her patients to become partners in their care. Maria has a robust general practice, yet holds special interest and advanced education in the areas of gynecology, fertility enhancement, pregnancy/obstetrical care and pediatrics. She also holds advanced certification in German Auricular Acupuncture. Maria is a Registered Acupuncturist, a Registered Chinese Herbalist, and a non-practicing Registered Nurse in the province of British Columbia. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 and a Master of Nursing in 1997. She subsequently went on to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Victoria, BC) with a four year Diploma of Chinese Medicine.
