Lisa has had a passion for alternative and complementary medicine since a young age. She began her education with the self-study of diet therapy and holistic living. After working in nursing with the elderly she returned to school to study acupuncture and Chinese medicine at the Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (formerly known as ACOS), graduating in 2014.
Since graduating Lisa has run her own practice on the Eastshore of Kootenay lake and has gained experience working in a spa setting. Through this spa experience, she has learned to incorporate more relaxing techniques into her treatments to assist her clients to feel more comfortable.
She has also spent time contemplating our cultural focus on beauty and began a practice of cultivating an appreciation for the endless variety of shapes and sizes of faces and bodies through art. She has begun offering facial rejuvenation acupuncture sessions as a form of creating beauty from the inside out. Treatments are focused on the face but as with any acupuncture session, there is a holistic approach to creating balance within the body to address concerns that appear on the face.
