Jennalee Fia River, known by Fia/Fie is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) licensed to practice acupuncture in BC, with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia (CCHPBC). Fie's Acupuncture education began at Oshio Royal Pacific Institute for the 3 year Acupuncture Diploma Program, she completed her 700 hour practicum training with Kim 'Rayne' Cooper at Natural Harmony Chinese Medicine Clinic. This was a unique satellite learning opportunity approved by the college of BC. Doing practicum with a mentor who's been practicing in the valley for over 26 years was a very rich and immersive clinical training program. Fie has a caring and intuitive touch, she listens deeply to her patients and wants to work together with them to activate their bodies' own innate wisdom and ability to heal. She incorporates inspiring lifestyle and dietary coaching into her acupuncture treatments. She strives to support a patients whole wellbeing by weaving together a supportive treatment that considers their emotional and physical health, as well as their bond to the earth. Fie believes that nature and our connection to the earth is a powerful source of healing and balance. Fie has an extensive background in Western Herbal Medicine. Her Herbal Medicine training included a year of full time studies at the California School of Herbal Studies, a year apprenticing with Clinical Herbalist Jasmyn Clift, several herbal programs with Seraphina Capranos, and much more. Fie is a trained Doula through DONA international, she's currently not able to be on call for births, but she loves supporting pregnant patients with herbs and acupuncture during pregnancy and postpartum.
