Fatemeh Hozouri

Fatemeh Hozouri is an experienced acupuncturist in Coquitlam who is committed to helping patients improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being through Traditional Chinese Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from UBC and later completed her Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver. Fatemeh is a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC). A Holistic Approach to Care: Fatemeh is guided by a deep appreciation for the wisdom and effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her studies, she discovered how meaningful a holistic approach can be in treating the mind, body, and emotions together. This philosophy continues to shape her treatments today, allowing her to support patients with precision, compassion, and genuine attentiveness. Expertise in Pain Relief and Internal Medicine: Early in her career, Fatemeh saw firsthand how acupuncture can transform pain management. To deepen her skills, she trained as a Certified Balance Method Acupuncturist—a highly effective modality known for fast and often immediate results. This method remains a foundation of her practice, especially for patients seeking support with pain, injury recovery, and internal medicine concerns. Women's Health, Fertility & Pregnancy Support: As an acupuncturist in Coquitlam, Fatemeh is passionate about supporting women's health throughout every stage of life. She regularly works with patients seeking care for fertility, menstrual health, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. She feels honoured to support individuals and couples on their family-building journeys and understands the emotional weight these experiences can hold. Focused Training in Mental and Emotional Well-Being: Ongoing learning is central to Fatemeh's approach. She is currently completing a two-year fellowship with Dr. Yvonne Farrell, DAOM, L.Ac., with a focus on psycho-emotional conditions. This advanced training allows her to integrate acupuncture techniques that help with stress, anxiety, fatigue, and emotional imbalance—supporting patients in finding greater balance and resilience. Community Involvement & Life Outside the Clinic: Beyond her clinical work, Fatemeh contributes to community wellness as a member of the Mayor's Advisory Roundtable for the City of Port Coquitlam. Outside the clinic, she enjoys cooking nourishing meals, staying active through walking and cycling, and spending quality time with her family.
