Élise graduated from the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson in 2014, where she received the Academic Dean’s award. She furthered her studies by completing a practicum at the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Kunming, China, where she witnessed the effectiveness of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine when used as a primary health source. She is the co-founder of the Kaslo Community Acupuncture Society, a non-profit that holds low-cost community acupuncture clinics in the North Kootenay Lake region.
Élise tailors each session to every individual’s needs and often incorporates the use of cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and AcuTonics (tuning forks) in the acupuncture session. She is passionate about supporting folks with their physical and emotional well-being and has special interest in treating acute and chronic pain, stress-related diseases and women’s health.
