My approach to counselling emphasizes active listening, empathy, and creating a safe space where clients feel heard and valued. The main therapeutic modalities that inform my practice are Person-centred therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), as well as Gottman and Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) for couples. I am also interested in incorporating Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and other mindfulness/somatic-based therapies.

I approach everything through a trauma-informed, multicultural lens. I am dedicated to continuous professional development and am enthusiastic about learning different evidence-based practices. I work in an integrative, flexible manner and will work with you to find an approach that best suits you.
