Alison is a graduate of the Acupuncture Program at the International College of TCM in Vancouver. She
is a registered acupuncturist with a wide range of certifications and qualifications. She
began her education with a degree in Health Sciences at SFU, then went on to study yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques. Alison has a Massage Therapy Certification from the Vancouver School of Healing Arts and works as a Massage Therapist at the Scandinave Spa in Whistler.
Having completed extensive training in both acupuncture and massage therapy, Alison is able to offer a unique and highly personalized approach to healthcare. She draws on a wide range of techniques,
including Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, as well as massage,
to create tailored treatment plans that are designed to address each individuals’ specific needs.
Alison has a passion for continuing education and is currently enrolled in Matt Calliston’s Sports Medicine Acupuncture program in San Diego. This certification program is over 270 hours of
advanced Sports Medicine Acupuncture training that includes many successful integrative Eastern and
Western approaches and is designed to provide the highest level of instruction in the assessment,
diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
The inspiration to study acupuncture came from her own experience with the personal healing benefits
of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is excited to offer a compassionate, caring, and healing treatment
to maintain balance and harmony in the mind, body and soul.
When not in the clinic, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, climbing, and exploring all of the beauty Squamish has to offer with her children.
