Recently, Lu became certified in scalp acupuncture which is used to treat various neurological conditions, including strokes, Parkinson's disease, traumatic brain injury, and multiple sclerosis. On a personal level, she has a special interest in martial arts and has won gold medals in international martial arts competitions.
